Father,
I am deeply troubled. My heart is troubled for the Body of believers. Lord Jesus, You came so that we may have life and life to the full, Amen! There is life and death in the power of the tongue and many of the brethren are using their tongue for death instead of life. Some are even in a position like Joseph was, placed in power and authority by You, but they are not using their voices for blessing their brothers and sisters in Christ; rather, they are cursing, accusing, judging, and slandering them. Father in heaven, have mercy upon Your children! Forgive us of this evil and teach us to not speak evil of one another, for He who speaks evil of a brother and judges His brother speaks evil of the law [of the Spirit] and judges it, Amen. Who are we to judge another when there is but one Lawgiver and one Judge, Amen? Who are we to curse the brethren when You command us to bless even our enemies? Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing, may it not be so! Lord Jesus, turn the bitter waters of the tongue into sweet waters! Let Your Holy Spirit make our hearts tender toward one another, encouraging and strengthening one another in Christ Jesus. May we be a generation where we are known by our love for one another. Please bring all Your children into understanding and repentance, for Your Spirit is the Spirit of understanding. Thank You, Jesus, for Your Spirit! Thank You for Your mercy toward us- a multitude of mercies are in Your house! Praise the Lord for this! In Your holy name we pray, Amen.
